I can’t believe how quickly April has flown by! Since it’s my birthday month, it just so happens to be one of my favorite months of the year. I’m sad that it’s over, but am also happy that it’s beginning to warm up a bit as well.

This spring I’ve really been loving pastel looks, and feminine florals. I’ve been obsessed with these products this month, and couldn’t wait to share! Let’s take a look at the items I’ve been loving this April.

April Beauty Favorites, 2016

Miss Dior Eau de Parfum

I had a mini sample size of the Dior ‘Miss Dior’ Eau de Parfum Spray and flew right through it! Like most of the scents that I love, this fragrance combines a bit of floral with fresh, crisp citrus to make an elegant and sexy scent.

Developing step by step, it glides from the sharp charm of a fresh, fruity, citrus prelude into blossoming floral notes then on to the noble elegance of patchouli before finally concluding with musk, the last trace of memory.

I’ve still not decided to pick up the full size until I try out a few more samples, but maybe if I meet my fitness goals by mid-summer I’ll treat myself to a new fragrance.

Smashbox Photo Op Eyeshadow Trio in Filter

I picked up this adorable mini of the Smashbox Photo Op Eyeshadow Trio in Filter in my March Birchbox, and it’s perfect for making neutral everyday looks, or pairing with bright spring colors for something a bit more fun. I’ve been wearing the lightest shade all over the lid and the medium shade in the crease to add a bit more definition for daily wear, and throwing on a shimmery shade over the top for a more dramatic look.

Laura Mercier Highlighter in Meringue

Unfortunately it does not appear that this highlighter is sold separately, and the Daring by Day palette is no longer available, but I wanted to share anyways because this highlighter is so pretty! It’s more on the bronzed, champagne side of things, so it’s very pretty with a little bit of a tan. If you’re interested, the Mimosa shade in the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit is very similar, but a bit darker. I’d use it with a light hand for that perfect bronze glow. I’m also interested in trying out the Laura Mercier Custom Contour Compact which offers a stunning looking cream highlight and contour shades.

Honest Conditioning Detangler

This has been a favorite since last summer, and is my go-to product post shower. The Honest Conditioning Detangler has the most beautiful scent of orange and vanilla and does a wonderful job of detangling my wet hair for an easier brush through. The only downside of this product is that it is not a heat protectant, but I will continue to use this on days when I air dry my hair.

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Elegantly Wasted

I think that the Trust Fund Beauty nail polish names are so funny, and I absolutely love the pastel purple of Elegantly Wasted. And what I also love about Trust Fund Beauty is that their nail polish line is 5-free of harmful chemicals without budging on quality of the formula. Their polishes are very pigmented and dry quickly. They also last a good amount of time without chipping or smudging, which is a must for me. I am a huge fan of the line.

  • I’m wearing that Trust Fund nail polish color right now! It’s one of my favorites, and I get compliments on it all of the time :)

    • Quest for Calm

Nice! I’m in love with the formula, but the color is what takes it to the next level :)
