Sample Sunday: Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum

I’m 25, which means that I’m beginning to seek out anti-aging products more and more – especially for the delicate skin around my eyes. I’m lucky to have few wrinkles, but I’d also like to prevent wrinkles as much as I can now as opposed to treating them later.

I’ve yet to find a holy grail eye cream or serum, so I’ve been trying out a bunch of different deluxe samples to see if there is a noticeable difference. For the most part, the creams I have tried have been moisturizing and helped keep my skin comfortable, but I had not found anything that would lessen my dark circles, de-puff or provide a less sallow look… until now!

I am so pleased to report that I’ve seen a noticeable difference since starting to use the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex Ii Eye Serum.

Re-ignite the youthful light of your eyes. This breakthrough eye treatment maximizes the power of night to re-ignite the vital, youthful light that can fade due to fatigue, pollution and age.

What is the Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum formula like?

The serum is meant to be used underneath a moisturizer all around the eyes for a plumping, brightening and healing effect. The serum itself is peach toned and has a very subtle shimmer that helps to reflect light and reduce any darkness beneath the eye. It’s relatively thick for being a serum, so I use just a small (smaller than a pea) dab for both eyes.

It glides on smoothly, and does not ball up or slide around underneath my moisturizer. I’ve tried this both with the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream and the Liz Earle Superskin Moisturizer and experienced good results. You are meant to use an eye cream over the serum as well, but I find that this is unnecessary since the serum is very moisturizing.

What are the results?

In just this small sample I have already used this day and night for about 2 weeks and have seen a change in the skin around my eyes. My skin is much more hydrated than when I was using Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream, and the dark circles underneath my eyes are a lot less pronounced – even without the immediate correction of the serum itself.

I do not have wrinkles around the eye area, so I am unable to report on results there, but I am so impressed with how this product has helped my skin gain strength and a greater opaqueness beneath the eye. Based on these results, I am willing to bet this would be a great product for crow’s feet and smaller wrinkles around the eye area.

Advanced with our exclusive ChronoluxCB Technology, it helps significantly inhibit the appearance of visible damage: fine lines, crow’s feet, dark circles, puffiness, dryness and uneven texture. Intensely hydrating, fast-penetrating, lightweight serum leaves eyes looking more youthful, vibrant, brighter.

I highly recommend this eye serum, and even though it’s meant for nighttime use, I use it twice daily. It is a little bit pricey, but I’m so happy with the results that I will be purchasing the full size once I am out of the sample.

  • I have been looking for eye creams too since I have managed to acquire extremely dark circles around my eyes, thanks to all that staying up until wee hours. :/ This serum sounds promising and I’ll see if I can get my hands on it. :) x
