Feelunique Beauty Haul

All my favorite YouTubers are gearing up to launch their new lines for the holidays, so before any of their existing ranges were discontinued, I wanted to pick up a few more items. I’ve already talked about how much I love Zoella Beauty and Tanya Burr Cosmetics, but I haven’t yet had a chance to try anything from Fleur de Force’s range.

I hopped onto the the Feelunique website to see what I could find and picked up a few goodies that I wanted to share with you! Mostly I am super pleased with the products I picked up, but there are also a couple of misses, so let’s jump into it.

Fleur de Force Beauty Range

First up I selected a few items from the Fleur de Force range to try out including the false lashes in Fleur Loves and Couture Fleur. I’m not someone who wears false lashes on even a semi-regular basis, but with Halloween and the holidays coming up I thought there would be a few occasions where I could give these lashes a try. I’ve heard great things about the Eyelure range, and I picked up the two sets that I thought would be most wearable.

The band on Fleur Loves is almost non-existent! I think that each of these sets will blend very well with my natural lashes and won’t look overdone. The sets retail for $9.59 for the individuals and $7.25 for the 3/4-lenth strips. However, when I purchased these they were on sale for just under $6 each which is so reasonable. Feelunique.com often has sales – especially on the YouTuber brands, so definitely keep an eye out if you’re thinking of making a purchase.

… which, is exactly why I ended up picking up the eyeshadow quad in Lunar Rose, even though I have a million eyeshadows. The palette was only $3.31 (regularly $11.03), and so I couldn’t pass up the chance to try it out. Because I already had the Tanya Burr palette in my cart, I picked up the more purple-toned palette which is a bit more unique.

The reviews stated that this quad was nicely pigmented, blendable and buttery soft, which I will agree with. It’s not the best eyeshadow formula I’ve ever felt, but I do think that for under $4 this is definitely a good buy. I would be a little bit more disappointed had I purchased this quad at the full price.

The three lighter shades are perfect for everyday use, and the darkest shade is actually very easy to work with. This is a great palette for someone who’s just getting started with makeup, or who wants an easy look in no time. The colors are very easy to blend and won’t give a stark, harsh look.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics

After hearing so many great reviews from the Tanya Burr Soft Luxe collection launch, I knew I wanted to pick up a couple of the products. I really wanted the Martha Moo soft luxe lip gloss, but unfortunately that was sold out. The two options available were Puppy Paws and Rhubarb and Custard, and even though I had watched a video with swatches, I must have picked up the wrong one. I went with the Soft Luxe Lip Gloss in Puppy Paws, and this is definitely NOT the shade for me.

Tanya’s makeup looks are always so classic and classy, so it’s hard to picture her ever wearing this shade. It is a neon pink with a bit of coral, which is just not good. The milky matte texture is great as a formula for darker shades, but on this color it is streaky and too vibrant for words. If you’re a goer of raves this might be a fun one to pick up, but as a 25-year old who sticks to neutrals this was a total miss. I mean… neon… soo so neon. The swatch below does not do it justice.

On the other hand, I do really enjoy the actual softness of the Birthday Suit Eyeshadow Quad. These eyeshadows are an absolute dream, and I decided to pick this palette up because I had such great results from the Galaxy Eye Palette.

All four shades are nicely pigmented, buttery smooth and easy to blend. I do prefer this formula over the Fleur de Force range, and find that the wide expanse of shades and colors is fun to play around with from palette to palette. This is a great quad to have for warm looks, and Toast is a phenomenal crease shade to have on hand.

Zoella Beauty Products

And again, as if I did not already have enough body products, I wanted to make one last Zoella Beauty purchase before anything was discontinued. I really loved the pink and white-striped makeup bag, and so even though it was a little bit more pricey than I would have liked I thought it would be perfect for travel.

It’s actually a bit smaller than I was expecting, so that’s a bit disappointing, but overall it’s a nice quality bag with the canvas stripes and patent leather side. I like that this folds over, but let’s be real – this makeup bag will always be packed to the brim when I’m using it.

Next, I picked up a bottle of the Double Creme Body Cream from the Sweet Inspirations range. I particularly love the soft macaron scent of this range, so I wanted to pick up a lotion before the newer lines came out. I’m assuming that eventually this line will be discontinued. The cream is much nicer than I was expecting. It’s very thick and moisturizing, which will be perfect into the cooler months. I’m definitely a big fan of this cream.

Lastly, I grabbed a Zoella Loofah to hit a rewards perk – if you spent so much you were to receive the sticker cosmetic case from Zoella Beauty. It was only a couple dollars, and you are supposed to swap out your loofahs every 3-4 weeks, so I thought it was perfect. Well, I must have done my calculation incorrectly, or maybe they ran out because there was not a freebie in my order. Oh well, I have enough makeup bags to pack my whole life away from the time I was subscribed to Ipsy.

  • Seems like all the big youtubers are creating their own makeup lines. I guess that is a natural progression! The packaging on all these products are super cute!
