Wow, I can’t believe March is coming to an end – which, of course, means that it’s moving into my birthday month! April is one of my favorite months of the year, and I can’t wait for spring to get a bit warmer and for flowers to begin blooming.
March was a fun beauty month for me, and I’ve been trying a lot of new products that I wouldn’t normally go for. I highly recommend all the products this month, as they’re all affordable and super cute for spring. Let’s spring right into it!
March Beauty Favorites:
Arrow Boost Color Enhancing Lip Balm
I don’t tend to use lipstick, but I do love a tinted lip balm. The Arrow Boost Color Enhancing Lip Balm from Birchbox is such a girly pink which is so perfect for spring. My office is still a bit cool so I pair a chunky white turtleneck with this color and it still looks fresh. New York Color Smooth Skin Bronzer in Sunny
This bronzer is such a classic for me. Not only is it so inexpensive, but it’s the perfect shade and formula to warm up my entire face. It’s a bit too warm-toned to use as a contour, but I like using this on my forehead, over my T-zone and on my cheeks to warm up my skin and give a healthy glow.
Honest Beauty Truly Kissable Lip Crayon in Sheer Chestnut Kiss
My friend Sierra gave me the Honest Beauty Truly Kissable Lip Crayon in Chestnut Kiss for Christmas, and it’s such a stunning color! It’s got a bit of browny-nude shimmer that looks natural and feminine, and I could totally see Jessica Alba looking perf in this lip color. The formula is moisturizing without being too slippery, and I find that this is perfect for applying at work without a mirror.
Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayon in Nudist
Along the same vein as the Honest lip crayon, I’ve also been loving the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Crayon in Nudist. It’s a super moisturizing formula and is a bit more on the pink side of nudes. This one is a little bit more shiny than the Honest lip crayon, so it’s great for days when I want a glossy finish.
Ulta Gel Eyeliner in Penny
I’ve been using the Ulta Gel Eyeliner in Penny so much this season to give a little bit of a smokey look that’s appropriate for daytime. I like to apply this darker metallic-taupe to my lash line and then smudge it out with a brush. I like it paired over shadow, or I’ll use a bit more of it on its own. For only $3.00 this is a complete steal!
Chella Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Pencil
I am a bit more hesitant to fill in my brows, as I feel that it’s the first thing to make my makeup look a bit less natural than I prefer, but the Chella eyebrow pencil is not overly pigmented, and the super-thin pencil tip helps to draw on brow lines that look very natural. This is the eyebrow pencil to use if you’re looking to fill in sparse areas, but might not be the #1 choice if you’re going big or going home. It’s perfect for my taste though :)
