Phew! It’s been a while since my last product empties and I’ve really gone through quite a few products lately. In efforts to clean out my beauty collection, I’ve been focused on cruising through some of the samples I have lying around. As a result I’ve discovered some really great products and cleared up some space for things I love. Let’s jump in!
Bath & Body
La La Lagoon Aromatic Bath & Shower Gel
If you’re into aromatherapy, this might be a beautiful scent for you. The strong, herbal scent of the La La Lagoon shower gel was not my favorite, but I did like that it foamed even though it is a paraben free formula.
Bath and Body Works Air Shower Gel
I LOVED the Air scent from Bath and Body Works – so sad that it’s discontinued. I love the Bath and Body Works shower gels, they’re my go to.
Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment
I have heard great things about the GlamGlow line, and I really loved the GLAMGLOW YOUTHMUD Tinglexfoliate Treatment. It truly helped to clear out my skin, and I loved the exfoliating factor of this product.
Eucerin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser
This is my holy grail face cleanser. I’ve been through so many bottles of the Eucerin Sensitive Skin Gentle Hydrating Cleanser – it’s gentle for my dry skin, and removes all of my makeup so easily (even waterproof mascara).
Essence Colour & Go in Walk of Fame
This has been my go-to nail polish for years. I love this shade, and am gutted that it is discontinued. Unfortunately my polish became clumpy and was no longer usable. I’m surprised at how long it lasted though.
Essie Nail Polish in The Lace is On
I loved Essie’s Nail Color in The Lace is On throughout fall and into winter. I received this mini in a quad, and now that it’s used up I think I will go ahead and purchase the full size.
Taylor Swift Enchanted Wonderstruck
I went through 2 samples of the Taylor Swift Enchanted Wonderstruck Eau de Parfum Spray, which is a very vanilla-y scent. It’s not my favorite, but I wanted to use these samples up. I definitely don’t hate it, but I would not buy the full size personally.
I really do love the Prada Candy L’eau Eau de Toilette. It’s a very sweet, girly scent which I find perfect in the spring and summer. I don’t know if I would purchase the full size at this point, but I have considered it in the past.
Chloe Love Story
I used up a sample of Chloe Love Story Eau de Parfum on my vacation and already I miss it so much! It’s such a fresh, light floral scent, and it’s so sophisticated without being deep. I will definitely purchase this fragrance in the future after I go through a couple more scents in my fragrance collection.
Body Lotions & Hand Creams
Simple Pleasures Green Tea and Verbana Hand Cream
I’ve had this hand cream for what seems like forever. I wanted to get through it in order to clean out my drawers. I do like the scent, but didn’t find that the cream was overly moisturizing.
Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede Body Creme
Oh my god…. SO GOOD! It almost pains me that I loved the Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede Body Creme so much since it’s way over what I would typically spend on a body cream, but I think I’ll use this is a reward – perhaps if I hit my exercise goals through till April I can treat myself :)
Jergens Daily Moisture
And on the opposite end of the spectrum, I finally used up my bottle of Jergens Daily Moisture Dry Skin Moisturizer, which actually took me over a year to get through! This is a great daily body lotion and I will definitely repurchase. It hydrates my skin and is super easy to apply.
Harvey Prince Hello Body Cream
I’m obsessed with the Hello scent, and I have already purchased the full size of the Harvey Prince Hello Body Cream. This organic formula is so moisturizing and smells so nice!
Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream
The Caudalie Hand & Nail Cream also has a very lovely scent. This formula was very light, so it wasn’t as effective when the weather was very harsh, but it would be great for average daily use.
Dove Cream Oil Intensive Body Lotion
This is actually a product that I decided to toss – I’ve had this sample of the Dove Cream Oil Intensive Body Lotion for a very long time, and really don’t like the scent or formula. I would not recommend.
Bumble and Bumble BB Styling Lotion
I used this as a heat protectant spray when blow drying my hair, and I really loved the results. It’s a bit sticky, so it helped to give volume at the roots and create a more tousled look.
Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk for Brown Hair
I enjoyed the Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk for Brown Hair – it cut down on oily hair without leaving a white powdery residue. The scent is a bit like hair spray, but oddly I love it.
Clinique Almost Lipstick in Flirty Honey
So disappointed that this shade has been discontinued, it was my perfect pink. I love the Clinique Almost Lipstick formula, so I might give another shade a try.
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
The Urban Decay Perversion Mascara is one of my favorites. The brush is so easy to use, and the formula is both lengthening and volumizing. I will definitely repurchase this in the future.
Be a Bombshell Lash Out Mascara
I was really annoyed when I went to use the Be a Bombshell Lash Out Mascara and it was 100% dried up. It’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever witnessed with a beauty product – the tube is super light like it’s empty, and the brush bristles were dried solid with a huge clump of solid mascara, but some of the bristles were brand new, no product coating them. I clearly received a dud product and will not be purchasing in the future.
Clinique Moisture Surge Intense
I used to be a huge fan of Clinique. However, my dry skin doesn’t seem to get along with Clinique products as well as it used to, so I decided to use the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense moisturizer on my décolleté as not to waste a perfectly good product. This formula is great for someone with regular to dry skin, but I didn’t feel like it absorbed as well as I would have needed for instant relief.
Eco Beauty Good Night. Night Cream
Again, because I’m so picky with my skin I knew I would not be using the Eco Beauty Good Night. Night Cream on my face. However, it was a beautiful formula, and I think that most people would enjoy it. It did have a strange scent, but being highly natural I could overlook that. I used this on my décolleté as well.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is my absolute favorite. It is so healing for my dry skin, and keeps my skin hydrated all day. I’ve already gone ahead and purchased a new bottle!
Philosophy Time in a Bottle for Eyes
I liked the Philosophy time in a bottle for eyes serum, but don’t feel that it was the right product for my age. This is geared more for mature eyes – at this point, I need something that is a bit more moisturizing rather than age defying.
Coola Classic Sunscreen SPF 30
I really love the COOLA Face Classic Sunscreen in Cucumber scent, it’s non greasy, natural, and it protects my skin very well. I will be purchasing the full size of this product come summer.
