Play! by Sephora: Beauty, Set, Go

I love that Sephora is switching things up, and I’m in love with this month’s theme! The Beauty, Set, Go theme is perfect for those who have made fitness their New Year’s resolution, and the items included are great for bringing to the gym, or keeping in your work bag if the gym is not your thing. This month’s bag is so cute, and has switched up from the usual black and white to give a neon, “Sweat is just another way to glow” motto. The back is mesh, which is a nice touch if you keep shower samples in your gym bag.

The theme is cute, the brands are great and there are a few products that I was super excited to receive!

If you’re a hair product lover, you’ll be excited to see the sold out Ouai Treatment Masque included in your box. I’m a huge fan of Ouai products, and am excited whenever their products are included in sample services. If you’re dying to pick up the Treatment Masque for yourself, it’s also included in the Ouai Repair Travel Kit. I’m excited to give this a try, especially during January in Vermont where the weather is cold and dry. I’m hoping this will give my hair some much needed hydration., Inc.Next up is the tarte FRXXXTION Stick Exfoliating Cleanser which is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. This cleanser reminds me of the scrubbing lipsticks the e.l.f. sells, where it’s a cleanser and scrub included in stick form. I do think this is perfect for the gym bag, and is a super interesting product. I might be saving this one for my trip to Sarasota in April since it’s a solid cleanser.

Another awesome brand included is Caudalie with their Resveratrol Lift Face Lifting Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20. In the past I have tried Caudalie moisturizers, and haven’t felt that they’re creamy enough for long-lasting comfort on my dry skin. However, since this includes SPF, I think it’ll be great for on-the-go and for use as a primer before putting on makeup. I don’t wear SPF as much as I should, so I’m glad that I can try this out to see if it works with my current skincare routine.

Kindly included in the box was a sachet of the PINROSE Wild Child perfume, again which is great to throw in your handbag. I haven’t smelled it yet, but will definitely pop it in my bag for an on-the-go pick me up!

Again, I’m happy to see SPF included in the next item, which is the boscia B.B. Cream Light Broad Spectrum SPF 27 PA++. I don’t wear BB creams or foundation on a daily basis, but occasionally I like to wear a base if my skin is irritated and red. This is especially true after working out, so if I ever need to head anywhere after working out, this will be a great go-to product.

Last but not least, my favorite item included in this month’s box was the CLINIQUE Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I’ve owned Clinique’s Almost Lipstick before in a pretty pink shade, and it’s one of the few lip products outside of lip balm that I used up completely. I was actually thinking of buying a new one in the black honey shade, so I’m glad that this was included!

The formula is so soft and moisturizing, and the subtle berry shade is very flattering on my lips. This is a fool proof product, so it’s perfect for on the go. You’re not going to need a mirror in order to apply this lip balm.

All-in-all I’m again very happy with the Play! by Sephora subscription box. For $10 I always feel like I’m getting great brands and products to try, for well more than what I’m paying. I am the type of person who does use samples, so these never go to waste. If you like to try out new items without breaking your wallet, I highly recommend this subscription!
