I’m definitely a fan of Tanya Burr, so when she came out with a cosmetics line, I was excited to give it a try. Of course, when the line first came out I was on a self-imposed beauty buying freeze, so I hadn’t really had a chance to give the line a try.

After what feels like years, I’ve finally picked up a bunch of products to try from the line, and they certainly do not disappoint. I’m so excited to share this brand review today, because in fact, I truly love the products from this range. Not only are they affordable, but the quality is similar to high end brands that you will pick up from Sephora.

I picked up products from a few different categories, and now that I’m hooked I will also be grabbing the matte liquid lipsticks as well. I can’t wait to see what else Tanya has coming up for the holiday season!

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lip Glosses & Swatches

The first items I tried from this order were the lip glosses, and since I’m not much for lip products on a day-to-day basis, I didn’t really think I would enjoy these glosses so much… and I was wrong. I picked up the shades I Found Nemo, Lunch Date and Afternoon Tea, and each one is perfectly pigmented and so unique in my collection.

I Found Nemo (swatched on the bottom), is one of the prettiest corals I have ever owned. It’s a bright pink with a twinge of orange, which is so flattering on tan skin tones. I remember Tanya saying in her video that this color was inspired by Zoe Sugg, and I can definitely see her wearing this gloss.

Afternoon Tea (top) and Lunch date (middle) are perfect neutrals for anyone’s collection. They will go with so many looks, and the formula is so nice. The glosses are a tiny bit sticky, but in a way that will keep them in place without feeling like glue. When a gloss is too slippery, I have a hard time with it smearing throughout the day.

These glosses wear comfortably throughout the day and do not dry out my lips. I’d be interested to try the glosses from the Soft Luxe collection to see if the matte formula would be drying. Lastly, I love the scent of these lip glosses – it’s a very sweet, fruity scent that reminds me of a cross between lemonade and watermelon. I wouldn’t say the scent lingers after applied, but it’s a nice touch when you are applying the glosses. I’m definitely a huge fan!

Tanya Burr Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette

Really, the last thing I need is more eyeshadows, but I couldn’t resist what looked like a really classic palette in the Galaxy Palette. I was drawn in by the shade Starry Sky, and felt like it would be a great, everyday neutral that I could wear to work.

What I wasn’t expecting is how creamy and pigmented these shadows are – it’s unbelievable. These are hands down, the BEST eyeshadows I’ve ever tried at this price point. The swatches below show just how pigmented these shadows are with just one swipe:

Starry Sky is a new favorite, and Snowflake is a gorgeous inner-corner highlight. Moonlight is actually a bit more metallic than I was expecting, and therefore is not a go-to shade for me, and while Starry Night looks very shimmery in the palette, it’s a bit more matte than I was expecting. I do think that these colors together can make such a beautiful smokey eye, but I typically use the shades separately.

Now that I’ve experienced the quality of the eyeshadows from Tanya Burr Cosmetics, I’ve gone ahead and ordered the Soft Luxe palette in Birthday Suit, which I’ve heard great things about.

Tanya Burr Cheek Palettes

Rosy Flush Cheek Palette

Similar to the eyeshadows, the cheek palette powders are very pigmented and buttery as well. I picked up two face options, which each had the same bronzer – beach bronze. Now, I do find this bronzer to be a bit orange, which is unfortunate since now I have two huge pans of it, but I can make it work as an eyeshadow or to warm up my skin.

However, the blush and highlight duos for each of these palettes are seriously good! The Rosy Flush palette is VERY pigmented, so if you’re very fair I would likely avoid this palette. The Pretty Peony blush is a bright pink which, though highly pigmented, blends very well on my cheeks. I think that this color will be especially pretty in the spring.

And if you’re into a wah-bam! highlight, then you will love Oyster Shell. This highlight is a very bright white, which would also double as a beautiful inner-corner eye highlight. I tend to go more natural with my makeup, so I won’t get as much use of this highlight as the other face palette, but I do appreciate having it in my collection.

Peachy Glow Cheek Palette

My favorite of the two palettes is by far the Peachy Glow Palette. I find the soft coral blush of Apricot Flush to be perfect for my olive skin tone, while the more subdued highlight of Champagne Shimmer is perfect for daily use.

This is a palette that I will continue reaching for into winter, as it has the perfect shades for my skin tone. The colors are just meant for summer though, so I would definitely pick this up while it’s still available.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics: Brand Review

As you can probably tell from my glowing reviews above, I am a fan of this cosmetics brand. The prices are so reasonable and you get a ton of product for your dollar. Since Tanya has many younger fans, I’m glad to see that she’s brought out products that everyone can afford.

The packaging is a bit clunky for my taste, and while I find the designs and colors to be fun, I personally feel that it gives the brand a more juvenile look – which is likely why I didn’t expect the products themselves to be as good as they area. However, I can get over this, and I will continue to buy and feature these products prominently because I love them so much!

Understandably, these products are not as easily available in the U.S. as they are in the U.K. I was gutted when I realized that I could not ship the nail polishes from Tanya’s range to Vermont – so please let me know in the comments what you think about the nail polishes if you’ve tried them. For the remaining products, buying and shipping through Feelunique.com is so easy (with a reasonable shopping threshold for free shipping), that I’m happy to continue purchasing products through the site.

I’ve even set up a profile which lets you pick a favorite brand for 10% off their entire range. Since I buy more body products, I set my favorite for the Zoella beauty range, but now I wish I could set it for both.

All-in-all, I’m a big fan of Tanya Burr Cosmetics, and I’m so happy I finally got to try the range out. I can’t wait to receive more products in the mail soon, and for Tanya’s new products to come out as well.

Leave a comment below with your favorites from the Tanya Burr Cosmetics range, I’d love to hear!
